Results are then used to field calibrate the instruments (slope andintercept correction). abstract String The Indianapolis Flux Experiment (INFLUX) was designed to developand evaluate methods for the measurement and modeling of greenhouse gas fluxesfrom urban environments. Determination of greenhouse gas fluxes anduncertainty bounds is essential for the evaluation of the effectiveness ofmitigation strategies. The INFLUX observation network includes twelve in-situtower-based, continuous measurements of CO2, a subset of five of whichadditionally measure CO, and a subset of nine of which additionally measure CH4.Flask sampling of 14CO2 and other trace gases occurs at six of the towers, andperiodic aircraft flights measuring greenhouse gases and meteorologicalconditions are conducted. A total carbon column observing network (TCCON)column remote sensing station was deployed Aug - Dec 2012. Four of the towersites include eddy covariance and radiative flux measurements, and a scanningDoppler lidar is located near Site 02.
